Well, no one was expecting Carbis Bay to be announced as the host of the 2021 G7 Summit. It’s bonkers to think of the world’s leaders descending on this little town… at the same time it’s hugely exciting to get Cornwall on the map for something other than beaches and pasties.

It may be that you have to work to 2m social distancing… it might be 1m. You will probably be able to open on 4th July, maybe not… maybe later; maybe some businesses will be able to open and that might be you but it might not: Either way make sure you are a fully trained social media expert, understand the contactless guest experience and can spot COVID-19 symptoms from at least 10 paces.”

Fancy getting out and about on foot from Cohort Hostel? We highly recommend walking over to Carbis Bay Beach – the next beach along from Porthminster. It’s a lovely, short walk and gives you some gorgeous views for a very small amount of effort.
