Well, no one was expecting Carbis Bay to be announced as the host of the 2021 G7 Summit. It’s bonkers to think of the world’s leaders descending on this little town… at the same time it’s hugely exciting to get Cornwall on the map for something other than beaches and pasties.

Fancy getting out and about on foot from Cohort Hostel? We highly recommend walking over to Carbis Bay Beach – the next beach along from Porthminster. It’s a lovely, short walk and gives you some gorgeous views for a very small amount of effort.
