In November 2018 we won not one but two GOLD awards. One for Tourism Innovation at the Cornwall Tourism Awards and one for Best Accommodation at the British Youth & Travel Awards.

Confusion is a huge barrier to people not recycling plastic, here we try and explain the codes, what they mean and what you can be doing to assist in the recycling of all plastics! We believe that it’s too important an issue for confusion to be an acceptable reason not to recycle.

The crisis of plastic in our environments has been highly publicised for several years now. Major organisations, businesses and the government are making moves to address the over consumption of plastic in our society. The Plastic Free Communities initiative is a grassroots movement to push the over-use of plastic onto the public agenda and also into the political arena.

For us in St Ives… the question is never ‘Where are you spending NYE?’ but ‘What are you going as this year?’. It’s a given that if you live anywhere near St Ives you’ll be spending NYE at one of the UK’s biggest street parties dressed up as something amazing and/or ridiculous.
