St Ives is an ideal group destination as there are a huge variety of activities on offer along with shops, cafes and beaches all within a few minutes walk of each other and Cohort. It’s a compact, safe and secure option for youth groups through to faith based groups, through to university societies and we are perfectly located for walking groups and cyclists.
Our accommodation is ideal for any sized group and we are happy to help you plan your itinerary and organise your food.
*Where an umbrella body, i.e. a sports club, student union society, school, youth organisation, tour operator, etc. is organising the trip. This is as opposed to a trip which has been organised by one person on behalf of a group of friends, i.e. friendship groups.
This does not include stag/hen groups, celebratory groups, large friendship groups (16 people+). For a young adult, friendship group where the majority are 16-18 year olds there is a maximum group size of 8 all year round. For more information see our Groups Policy.
Our capacity 54 people. The accommodation is configured as follows:
1 x 4 bed dorm, 6 x 6 bed dorms, 1 x 8 bed dorm, 1 x twin / double room, 2 x twin rooms.
We offer rates for exclusive use of Cohort and this means you can take full advantage of all our facilities including our movie screen. It’s a great option for groups of 35+.
For groups of 12+ we can provided a self-service breakfast, packed lunches and in-house evening meals. For detailed information please visit our Educational Trips site. We are also happy to help you plan and book your meals in town, recommending restaurants and cafes that offer group dining options.
We have a fully-equipped, self-catering kitchen on site which is yours to use during your stay; it’s open from 7am – 10pm.
We provide free tea and coffee from the bar between 8 and 10am. After that you can purchase hot drinks, soft drinks, snacks and alcoholic drinks (from Midday) until 11pm. We also have a vending machine in the main lounge.

Our large lounge, private courtyard and spacious kitchen are ideal for socialising. The bedrooms are spacious and airy with privacy curtains on every bed – ideal for groups where not everyone knows each other. Superfast, FTTP WiFi throughout the building makes it easy to collaborate for photos, videos and more.
To confirm a booking we require a 50%, non-refundable deposit; the balance is then due at least 2 weeks prior to arrival. If you need to cancel a booking you can do so up to 45 days before without incurring additional charges.
As long as you provide enough notice we will consider moving the booking to a different date. This is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
