For many people this summer will be unique in that they won’t be travelling abroad. It’s pretty easy to pack for a country where you’re guaranteed a particular temperature all summer long, not so easy for the UK where things tend to be a little less predictable.

To that end we’ve put together a handy packing list for Cornwall.

Well Matt Hancock said it so it must be true: We’re all staycationing for our holidays this year.

That may be the case but don’t worry – we’ve got you covered. If Cornwall is going to be busy read our top tips to get away from the crowds and make the most of your time in this gorgeous part of the world.

Our final note in the ‘Covid-19’ blog series. A reflection on how it’s going now we’re open and how it feels after lockdown. A footnote, if you will with a tinge of relief and lots of positivity after what’s been a difficult time.

“Right… you have to re-think the way your business operates from the bottom up; you have some time, maybe 3 weeks, maybe 6. It might be temporary… it might not. It may be that you have to work to 2m social distancing… it might be 1m. You will probably be able to open on 4th July, maybe not… maybe later; maybe some businesses will be able to open and that might be you but it might not: Either way make sure you are a fully trained social media expert, understand the contactless guest experience and can spot COVID-19 symptoms from at least 10 paces.”

Fancy getting out and about on foot from Cohort Hostel? We highly recommend walking over to Carbis Bay Beach – the next beach along from Porthminster. It’s a lovely, short walk and gives you some gorgeous views for a very small amount of effort.
