Kitesurfing in Cornwall is exhilarating and with some of the best kitesurfing beaches in the world is not to be missed
If you want to try something a bit different then you’re in the right place…
Kitesurfing is a wind powered surface watersport using a kite and a board to move across the water; it harnesses the power of the wind through a large parachute type kite to propel a rider across the water on a small surfboard or a kiteboard.
Although the name includes surfing, kitesurfing does not need waves, the wind is the only force needed to power you along. With the large range of conditions to ride in, whether ‘surfing’ in the waves, going for big jumps, taking out a GPS for a speed records, learning a new freestyle trick or on a long distance adventure kitesurfing never becomes boring or repetitive.
JB Adventures is one of the UK’s longest running kitesurfing schools based in St Ives. Julius is a Level 2 BKSA instructor with over 10 years coaching experience and uses the latest long range, Bluetooth headsets to give you the ultimate Kitesurfing experience. All courses follow a structured path that everyone can follow, teaching you all the kitesurfing skills you will need in order to kitesurf all over the world.
At JB Adventures lessons are split into three independent modules, Kite starter, Water starts and Progression sessions; all include integrated Blue tooth helmets, buoyancy aids, kites and boards. For a proper introduction to Kitesurfing the 5 hour Kite starter lesson will give you a real feel for it, typically you would need 2 or 3 days to successfully Kitesurf a short distance out and back to the beach. All of our students have said how impressed they were with the use of our Bluetooth and waterproof headsets “Julius can really accelerate your learning curve and deliver realistic situations that is just not possible with the more traditional methods. 10/10”
Elevate offer an introduction to kitesurfing 3 hr lesson which is ideal for people who are new to the sport and want to have some fun trying something different. You will also have the opportunity to try some tricks. The focus of this lesson is on fun and safety.
