Surfing
St Ives has great surf in a spectacular setting.
The surfing in St Ives is great, being on the North Coast but extremely close to South Coast currents. Porthmeor Beach is just an 8 minute walk from Cohort and is a great place to learn, practice or for those with a bit more experience.
If you’re staying with us we have facilities for you to store your board, wash and hang wetsuits and shower off before you enter the building.
Surf Lessons
St Ives Surf School is highly regarded as one of the best places to learn to surf in Cornwall and they run a wide variety of courses.
With a variety of surf lessons and courses available on a daily basis from their base on Porthmeor Beach, absolute beginners, improvers and advanced surfers are catered for with suitable tuition.
All equipment is included with all lessons along with secure on-site changing facilities, male/female toilets and showers. Lessons are 2hrs long with additional rental of boards, suits and SUP’s also available.
