St Ives Events

Every Thursday: Farmers Market

9.30 – 2pm at the Guildhall every Thursday, the Famer’s market showcases the best of local, Cornish produce.

Stop for a coffee and home made cake before browsing the stands to buy dinner for that evening. Vegans, vegetarians, meat lovers, fish fanatics and people with a sweet tooth all catered for! Cook up a storm in our kitchen and enjoy the fruits (or vegetables) of your labour in the courtyard on a balmy, summer evening.

The following regular events are ordered January – December:

Please note that for 2020 all these events have been cancelled.

May: St Ives Food Festival

There will be a fantastic range of activities and entertainment which promises fun for everyone! And you’re on the beach just a 5 minute walk from Cohort – what more could you want?

May: St Ives Literary Festival

This festival sees a plethora of literary events taking place in St Ives, from recordings to talks and from workshops to poetry readings.

Every afternoon and evening you can pick from a wide variety of performances and seminars and when the weather is lovely (which it usually is at this time of year) a lot of the events take place outside; it’s a beautiful place to be whether you’re an avid library lover or wannabe writer.

August: Summer Island Disco

The island becomes alive with the sound of music, the smell of the best local food, a variety of thirst quenching bars and the happy buzz of the whole community – young and old – appreciating this incredible summer setting surrounded by the Sea.

Quite easily one of the best nights of the year in St Ives. Check out their Facebook page for updates on this year’s lineup.

1st – 31st December: St Ives in December

Throughout December the town comes alive with events. Watch Santa’s arrival by RNLI lifeboat into the harbour, accompanied by reindeers and a parade. Enjoy all the shop window displays as they compete to win ‘Best Winter Window’ and get involved in Christmas workshops put on by galleries throughout the town. This is all accompanied by great, live music in the pubs and carol concerts in the local churches.

Every Saturday throughout December Cohort will be hosting Santa’s Grotto so bring your children (and children bring your parents) up the Stennack to find Santa’s kingdom.

Visit the St Ives in December website for more details.
